whoneedsfeminism: I need feminism because I wore this down the street today and someone yelled from their car “PUT SOME FUCKING PANTS ON YOU SLUT”. I need feminism because after this awful experience I got home, went on Facebook and saw a status saying (paraphrased) “girls who dress like skanks are the reason I hate this world”. I need feminism because lately I’ve realised just how much slut-shaming I hear and see, and how my generation has become desensitized to it and think it’s okay to degrade women because of what they choose to wear. We need feminism because this needs to stop.
